I climbed Mt. Rainier in June 2004 with Chuck Booten and two of his friends (Doug and Mark). We climbed the Disappointment Cleaver ("DC") route, which is the standard route. We began our ascent at 3am on the first day, climbing through a blizzard and arriving at Camp Muir around 8:15am. After setting up camp and sleeping, we began our summit attempt that night. Our alarms went off at 11:30, but we weren't roped up and on the trail until 1am. We climbed under our headlamps, breaking a new trail up the mountain following three days of snow. We reached the summit around 9am, and returned to the car around 5pm.
